The Monroe County Volunteer Firemen's Association proudly presented the 2011 Raymond Emma Fire Prevention Educator Award to Chief James Kurycki at the 2011 Monroe County Firefighter Appreciation Dinner.

Chief Kurycki of the Churchville Fire Department was recognized for his efforts in coordinating and presenting fire prevention education to the residents of Churchville. Chief Kurcki has spent numerous hours at fire prevention details, both at the fire house and at the various schools within the district.
