Village of Churchville Water and Electric




Electric Department

       The electric department was established in 1921 and now serves over 879 customers.  The power is purchased from the New York Power authority.  It enters the sub station at 34,400 volts and is distributed at 4,160 volts.

       The 2003 sales for electric was 19,222 megawatt hours.  It also generated $784,220 in revenues.  Above is a picture of the sub station that the power enters before being distributed.  It is valued at about $2,000,000.

Electric Rates

MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC RATE INCREASE

 

The Village of Churchville Municipal Electric Department has received approval from the Public Service Commission to increase the electric rates effective with the August 2006 Billing  This is the first time rates have been increase since 1997.  The approved rates are as follows:

       Water Department

       The water department was established in 1924 and was leased by the Monroe County Water Authority in 2005.  Any questions/concerns regarding water should be directed to their customer service at 442-7200.  The after hours emergency number is 442-2009.
